Gaurav has a decade-long diversified experience with renewable energy sector. He holds Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pune, India and Masters (M.S.) in Renewable Energy Systems from University of Aachen, Germany. He is also a certified Chartered Engineer.
Currently, Gourav is associated as a Project Manager within Black & Veatch's global energy business and helping clients to create value for their Solar and Wind Energy portfolios. He is decisively involved in owners and lenders engineering roles and has successfully performed techno-commercial feasibility analysis of potential projects, renewable energy resource analysis, evaluation of techno-commercial bids, negations with bidders, and renewable power project management.
Prior to joining Black & Veatch, Gaurav worked for Suzlon Energy Ltd. where he conducted wind resource assessments, monitored wind farm developments from concept through commissioning, provided techno-commercial analysis, conducted risk assessments and policy analysis and was actively engaged in prudent discussions with various nodal and regulatory agencies. He also had similar responsibilities as a research associate for The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI) in New Delhi. He has also worked with Research Center Juelich, Germany with System Analysis and Evaluation group as a Research Associate.
He has authored four renewable energy related books chapters, several papers and few posters at various international forums and journals. He is a regular speaker at various national and international forums.
