Samit, as Director - Mini-Grid, Demand & Innovation, is responsible for Smart Powers mini-grid program in India and also supports Rockefeller Foundations global initiatives across mini-grid domain. His team's goal is to work towards rural economic development through energy access.
Smart Power India facilitates partners in business modelling, technical guidance , community engagement, and other on-ground program implementations and helps them in making mini-grid a sustainable and impactful business proposition. Smart Powers mini-grid program in India presently supports 12 ESCOs for 203 mini-grid plants in UP, Bihar & Jharkhand.
Samit has over 20 years experience in leading P&L, business development and rural marketing initiatives for consumer products, renewable energy and social impact organisations.
